In the second half of September, Art Box Metaverse will debut in the capital – the first multi-user VR immersive entertainment space of this scale in Poland. To start with, it will invite viewers to “Hotel Dracula” – an interactive adventure full of surprises, in which the role of host will be played by the legend of Polish cinema, Daniel Olbrychski. The project is backed by Art Box Gallery, which has been successfully running Art Box Experience for three years – a gallery known for its immersive exhibitions dedicated to, among others, the Impressionists, Frida Kahlo, and Salvador Dalí.
Art Box Metaverse is pure entertainment, where viewers become part of the digital world. It is a whole new dimension of fun, where viewers will enter the world of 4D digital reality, allowing participants to interact with their surroundings in real time.
“Art Box Metaverse is our response to the growing expectations of audiences looking for truly immersive entertainment. In our new space, we invite guests to join us in interactive virtual worlds viewed through VR goggles, where they not only observe events, but become participants in them. The combination of the latest technology, spectacular effects, and engaging stories makes each experience a complete immersion in an alternative reality – from the first seconds to the finale. The regularly changing repertoire guarantees that each visit will be a new, unique adventure. This is not just a regular screening – it is an experience that allows you to enter the story and feel it firsthand” – says Joanna Sikora-Kowalkowska, CEO of Art Box Gallery.
To begin with, guests will be transported to the dark “Hotel Dracula,” a multiplayer interactive VR adventure created in collaboration with Spanish companies Blanco y Negro Music and Univrse, a world leader in creating multiplayer VR experiences. After successes in Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona, Hotel Dracula will now open its doors at Art Box Metaverse in Warsaw’s Norblin Factory. In this virtual hotel full of surprises, each room hides different visual and sound effects. It combines state-of-the-art VR technology with the atmosphere of classic haunted houses. As a result, the experience stands out not only for its realism and special effects, but also for the opportunity to share the fear with friends, family, or colleagues. In a 330-square-meter space, thanks to state-of-the-art immersive technology, up to 25 participants can simultaneously walk the corridors of Dracula’s Hotel and discover the secrets hidden behind each door. Behind each door, new surprises await: encounters with the most famous vampire from the Carpathians, Frankenstein, the Yeti, and a whole host of dark creatures that will not let you catch your breath for a moment. The whole experience lasts about 30 minutes and is intended for adults, teenagers, and children over 10 years of age.
The voice of the title character in the Polish version of “Hotel Dracula” was provided by Daniel Olbrychski, one of the most respected and recognizable actors in Poland and abroad. During his career, he has played over 150 film roles, including in cult productions by Andrzej Wajda, Jerzy Hoffman, and Krzysztof Zanussi. He has also appeared in international productions, collaborating with filmmakers such as Volker Schlöndorff and Claude Lelouch. Daniel Olbrychski also has extensive experience in dubbing. His voice is familiar to viewers of Disney’s cult classic Cars, in which he played Doc Hudson, and Asterix at the Olympic Games, where he lent his voice to Julius Caesar. His distinctive tone and extraordinary charisma give the new Art Box Metaverse experience unique depth and drama, enhancing the impression of immersion in the dark world of Dracula’s Hotel with a gentle wink. As the actor himself says:
“There comes a moment when everyone has the potential or dreams of being Dracula, at least for a moment.”
But that’s not all. In November, Art Box Metaverse will invite viewers into completely new, fantastic worlds of the most beautiful fairy tales. This magical spectacle will transport entire families into their beloved fairy tales. Thanks to state-of-the-art VR technology and engaging storytelling, viewers will become real heroes of childhood stories – they will fly on Aladdin’s carpet, meet Pinocchio inside a whale, dive into the depths with the Little Mermaid, and face a dragon. It is a whole new dimension of family entertainment that combines the magic of classic stories with innovative technology and allows you to experience fantastic adventures.
In addition to VR screenings, the new space at Warsaw’s Norblin Factory will also be available for rent for special events – conferences, fashion shows, vernissages, banquets, and business meetings. Together with the neighboring Art Box Experience (780 sq m), it will create one of the most impressive and largest event locations in the capital, with a total area of 1,110 sq m.
