Step into the shoes of a true Renaissance artist and create your own masterpieces inspired by two of history’s greatest artistic geniuses!
Art Box Experience invites children and their parents or guardians to a unique family sensory workshop inspired by the immersive exhibition “Leonardo versus Michelangelo. The Rivalry of Renaissance Geniuses.” This extraordinary experience brings art to life, engages all the senses, and encourages creative exploration.
The event begins with a guided tour of the exhibition, where participants will discover the fascinating stories of the two Renaissance masters-Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo-and explore the secrets behind their most celebrated works.
After the tour, children will become Renaissance artists themselves. During the workshop, they will create a sensory interpretation of Lady with an Ermine using materials with different textures, decorate a plaster replica of Michelangelo’s David to take home, and experience what it was like to paint monumental frescoes. Participants will create their own artwork while lying on their backs and painting overhead-just as Michelangelo did while working on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
This inspiring artistic journey stimulates creativity, sparks imagination, and shows that masterpieces are not only meant to be admired-they can also inspire us to create.
Every participant will leave with their own handmade artworks and unforgettable memories of meeting the masters of the Renaissance.
