A house without electricity or the Internet – everyday life in the 19th century

During the lesson, students will travel back to the era of Fryderyk Chopin to better understand what everyday life was like in the first half of the 19th century. They will learn how homes were furnished, how responsibilities were divided within the family, how adults and children dressed, what people ate on a daily basis in the city and in the countryside, and how meals were celebrated together. The lesson develops historical and cultural knowledge and allows students to see the past through the eyes of the famous composer’s peers.
