In March 2024, Art Box Experience hosted the world-famous Immersive Monet & The Impressionists exhibition for the first time in Europe, having sold millions of tickets in the United States. It was an extraordinary multisensory spectacle created by Massimiliano Siccardo and the team at Lighthouse Immersive and Visioni Eccentriche – internationally renowned producers. Using state-of-the-art video mapping technology and special effects, 438 works by the greatest masters of Impressionism, including Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt, Paul Cézanne and Édouard Manet, were brought to life. The exhibition was accompanied by a unique soundtrack by Luca Longobardi.
The exhibition was a colourful, emotional story about artists who changed the world of art forever, causing both admiration and scandal in the Parisian milieu of the late 19th century. The audience could admire the most famous canvases, such as Monet’s Impression, Sunrise – the work from which the entire era took its name. Thanks to the immersive formula, visitors not only saw works scattered across the world’s most important galleries and museums in one place, but also had the impression of entering the paintings, surrounded by flickering light, a palette of colours and painterly textures.
‘Immersive Monet & The Impressionists’ was both an artistic spectacle and an educational project. A specially prepared educational room introduced younger viewers to the world of Impressionism in accordance with the core curriculum, while offering adults an in-depth look at the history of this groundbreaking movement. The exhibition delighted everyone – both art lovers and those who were discovering the beauty of Impressionist painting for the first time in such a modern, multi-sensory form.
